TWILLINGATE ISLANDS - ICEBERG CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
Situated with a westerly view of the North Atlantic Ocean, immersed in Newfoundland culture and within a short distance of world class hiking trails and stunning scenery, this century-old three bedroom, 2 ½ bathroom home was recently renovated for modern comfort. It is ideal for a family, but could sleep six. Equipped with laundry, television and WiFi, guests at Lands End can make themselves feel at home. The eat-in kitchen is lovely for stay-in dining, and there is a private backyard ideal for a relaxing afternoon in the sunshine.
While staying at Lands End you can enjoy a quiet evening stroll along the nearby oceanside beaches or a family picnic in Mudford's Cove. From high up on the point you can watch the sunset, see icebergs in June, or listen to the sounds of whales in August. Just up the road you will find spectacular cliff views, beaches and hiking trails at historic Long Point Lighthouse. Travel 4km into nearby Twillingate where you can take a whale watching tour; go ocean kayaking; or enjoy the rich Newfoundland culture with some locally brewed award-winning beer, the Twillingate Dinner Theatre, or visit a Shed Party where you can sample local musical and comedic talents. Fresh blueberries can be found just about everywhere in late summer along any of the fifteen hiking trails, with a wide variety of terrain suitable for relaxed or athletic hikers.
Parking is available onsite for two vehicles.
