π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ All Ages ShowMatthew Hornell is a Grand Falls-Windsor-born singer-songwriter now calling Norris Point home. A product of the Memorial University music scene in St. John’s, Hornell quickly established himself as one of Atlantic Canada’s most compelling live performers, blending folk, rock, and country with an energy that filled rooms and won hearts.
His debut album Matthew Hornell and the Diamond Minds (2010) earned him four Music NL Awards, including Entertainer of the Year and Rising Star, and launched him onto stages across Canada. His sophomore album Have It All (2013), recorded live in Nova Scotia, showcased a songwriter growing deeper into his craft, honest, introspective, and rooted in the kind of storytelling that Ron Hynes made legendary on this island.
A seasoned road warrior with a cross-Canada touring history, Hornell now brings all of that experience to bear in his solo shows, weaving between guitar, banjo, and fiddle in performances that feel as much like a kitchen party as a concert.
