TWILLINGATE ISLANDS - ICEBERG CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
Twillingate Museum and Craft Shop promotes traditional arts and crafts. Various unique items found only in our Craft Shop have been made by local artisans. Throughout the summer, artisans demonstrate techniques of embroidery, quilting, mat hooking, carving and scrimshaw. Sales of showcased pieces assist to preserve these crafting skills.
The following is a brief list of items you can find at the Craft Shop:
Hand-made Quilts, Knitted Sweaters, Mitts, and Socks, Labradorite Jewellery, a large selection of Newfoundland Books including children’s book.
We also haveNewfoundland sea glass, Jam and Syrup made with Newfoundland berries, Carvings in soapstone, Original paintings and prints, Stained glass, Silk Scarves, Felt Hats and Mitts, Labrador Tea Dolls, Traditional Hooked Rugs, Miniature replicas of traditional fishing boats and tools, Christmas Ornaments and Cards, Children’s T-shirts, Souvenirs…and much, much more!
